The French Dispatch - (2021)

Director: Wes Anderson.

3 boring short stories with super flat characters I couldn't care less about. Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray & Owen Wilson just gave the worst performance in their careers. All in a single film (I'm exaggerating, of course). In general, it feels like the actors are trapped inside the frame and had so many limitations they couldn't act and react to anything. I only cared about Frances McDormand's character, she was acting very well. The whole Wes Andersoniness gave me a headache, it wasn't funny at all and I got a strong feeling he just rips-off Roy Andersson .

If you care to read more analysis of what I think about Wes Anderson, my review about The Isle of Dogs sums it all up:

Verdict: 1 / 5 ★ - Bad.
